People often wonder "Do I need a coach or a therapist?"

Excellent question!

The differences are kind of simple to explain, but are significant:

1) Coaching looks forward from here and now; therapy often looks back to understand ones issues and address past trauma.

2) Coaching tends to focus on measurable, external results, as opposed to the inside work of therapy.

3) Coaching tends to be more short-term than therapy.

4) Coaches don't diagnose, but mental health professionals do.

5) Coaching is about "doing what you can, from where you are, with what you have" concerning moving forward; therapy tends to focus on resolving past issues.

What's important to note here, is that one is not better than the other; it all depends on what is happening with you and what your goals are.

Feel free to call me. If coaching is not right for you, I will let you know and make a referral if needed.
